Kent Snider

Kent is a respiratory therapist, a former police officer and an attorney. His diverse background gives him a unique perspective of patients' medical, social and legal needs.

Kent has an AA in Health Sciences/Respiratory Care and Asian Studies from Weber State University, a BA in Psychology from the University of Utah and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Santa Clara.

As a respiratory therapist, Kent has worked in Shock and Trauma, Burn, ICU and Long Term Acute Care. He has managed respiratory therapy departments, was CEO of two Home Care and Hospice Agencies and Director of Public Relations for two of the largest national skilled nursing providers.

From 1992 to 2007 Kent was the founding partner of Snider, Coggins and Larreau; where he directed the litigation and appeals divisions.

In 2015 Kent formed the Snider Law Group, which specializes in helping health care professional, patients and families navigate the legal complexities of Guardianships, Conservatorships, Trusts, POAs, and Advanced Health Care Directives.

Kent is a member of the American Inns of Court, two hospital ethics boards, a guest lecturer at the University of Utah, BYU and several area private colleges. He is a favored guest lecturer for the Utah Society for Respiratory Care, the Utah Association of Health Care Social Workers, and Promise Hospital's annual Respiratory Conference. In 2016 Kent published "A Clinician's Guide to Guardianships, Conservatorships, POA's and Advanced Directives".
